1 Kings 1:33-39

33And the king said to them, “Take with you athe servants of your lord, and have my son Solomon ride on my own mule, and bring him down to bGihon. 34And have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet canoint him there as king over Israel, and dblow the trumpet and say, ‘ eLong live King Solomon!’ 35Then you shall come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, and he shall be king in my place; for I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and Judah.” 36Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, “Amen! May the Lord, the God of my lord the king, say the same. 37 fJust as the Lord has been with my lord the king, so may He be with Solomon, and gmake his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David!”

Solomon Anointed King

38 So hZadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, ithe Cherethites, and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and brought him to jGihon. 39And Zadok the priest then ktook the horn of oil from the tent and lanointed Solomon. Then they mblew the trumpet, and all the people said, “ nLong live King Solomon!”
